I moved to Paris hoping to further my knowledge of wine after working in a caviste for 3 months in Cambridge. I was recommended the course by an ex-student, and within two weeks found myself in the IFCO classroom.

The classes on the whole were well-structured and taught by passionate professionals, such as successful winemakers and cavistes. We covered a huge amount of material and had regular tastings that often ended with after-drinks.

As two weeks out of three were dedicated to industry work, I had the opportunity to complete an internship with biodynamic winemaker Mathieu Vallée in Saumur. This offered an important insight into the industry and furthered my knowledge of viticultural practices.

Overall, I am very happy to have found IFCO and to have the wonderful network of passionate friends who all love wine as much as I do.
